Rio de Janeiro Carnival Private Tour
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet on Avenida Binário do Porto, at the main entrance to the Cidade do Samba in Gamboa. As this is a private tour, you'll have an English-speaking guide all to yourselves.
We'll uncover the great secrets of the Rio de Janeiro carnival. During the behind-the-scenes tour of the space used by Acadêmicos da Grande Rio to prepare their floats, we'll see how the elaborate costumes worn in the parades are made, along with the floats that roll through the Marquês de Sapucaí Sambadrome during one of the biggest celebrations in Brazil.
We'll also discover the history of samba and the carioca carnival with a visit to the exhibition hall. To finish in style, we'll head to the dressing rooms backstage at Cidade do Samba, where you'll get to try on the carnival costumes. Great fun!
We'll wrap up the tour with a delicious caipirinha and a toast to the Rio carnival, saying our goodbyes 1.5 hours later.
